Background An intensive and extensive process of research work has been carried on for many years on how to establish a medical college whose quality of academic and moral standard of teaching – learning processes and the profile of its final products will be a pride and a shining example to the public and to all other similar colleges in the country.
To translate this useful intentions into action, the charismatic Peace AmbassadorAto Abenet Girmaye, the owner and the president of CHC and his supporters have been exerting persistent efforts towards this end since the establishment of CHC in Addis Ababa in 2002.
Thanks to these cumulative efforts, CHC has gradually been able to change and develop from ideas planned on paper into the existing reality of the most successful and renowned private medical college in Ethiopia.
CHC is still making unsparing efforts to further develop its institutional capacity in its field of pursuits in order to enable it to work better and live up to the expectation of the community it intends to serve.

Visions To see Ethiopia continues to develop its capacity until it reaches a level where it can bring all the communicable diseases in the country under its total control enabling the Ethiopian people to enjoy their lives with a complete and glowing health in which CHC works unreservedly to contribute its own share towards this end.
Goals To work unsparingly for the vertical development of CHC until it reaches to a university level. And then expand this horizontally opening a university in each one of the existing eleven political divisions of Ethiopia.
Objectives - To help students and teachers spend their time in making maximum efforts to
read, study and research for acquiring and developing deeper and wider
knowledge's, skills and abilities in their fields of pursuits during their stay
in CHC;
- To educate and produce disciplined, professionally competent, morally strong and dedicated citizens who become the pride and the vanguards for solving the health problems of the country;
- To assist students to be able to exhaustively use the available educational and recreational facilities of CHC for acquiring their own educational benefits /advantages/;
- To help the students, the teachers and the community to identify and understand the harmful, bad habits and practices of health and then avoid them totally and completely from their habits, practices and cultures.
- To guide, assist and advise students to effectively and qualitatively accomplish their duties and responsibilities to a level that CHC and the society expect from each college student.
- To construct and extend the organizational and infrastructural structures of CHC to develop its capacity for providing effective and qualitative services of education to the communities inside and outside CHC;
- To help students to be able to identify and understand the useful, habits and practices of health in the community inside and outside of the college and make persistent efforts to adopt and develop them and apply them in their daily lives.
